MURA Merdeka Cup 2025
Event Dates: August 28 & 31, 2025
In the spirit of independence and competition, MURA is proud to announce our largest event of the year: The Merdeka Cup! This two-day spectacle will test the skills of our trainers across every discipline, culminating in a grand finale to crown the ultimate champion.
Event Format
QUALIFIERS: AUGUST 28
Day 1
Trainers compete in one of five categories to prove their mastery and secure a spot in the finale.
GRAND FINALE: AUGUST 31
Day 2
The top 3 from each category face off in one ultimate race to claim the Merdeka Cup!
Qualifying Categories (Day 1)
Each participant may enter one Umamusume into one of the following five categories:

The Grand Finale (Day 2)
The top 3 trainers from each of the five qualifying categories will advance to the Grand Finale. This ultimate showdown will take place on the legendary Arima Kinen course.
Finale Course: Nakayama Racecourse, 2500m (Long), Turf
Finalists are free to resubmit the same Umamusume they used in the qualifiers or choose a different one better suited for the finale's long-distance challenge.

The Merdeka Cup is for everyone! Even if you're not competing in the main event, there are plenty of ways to join the fun and win prizes.
Community Fun (All Members)
Merdeka Spirit Art Contest
Showcase your artistic talent! Create a piece of fan art with the theme "Merdeka Spirit". Winners will be featured on the site!
MURA Toto
Think you know who will win? Predict the Top 3 for each qualifier category. The trainer with the most correct predictions wins the "Master Predictor" title!
Meme Madness
Create the best meme about the Merdeka Cup! The funniest entry, as voted by the community, wins a special prize.
Second Chance Races (For Racers)
The Merdeka Plate
Didn't make the cut? Don't worry! All trainers who placed 4th-6th in their category are automatically entered into the Merdeka Plate, a special consolation finale for a second shot at glory.
Guts & Glory Meme Race
A for-fun themed race open to all non-finalists. The theme will be announced after the qualifiers. Expect chaos, fun, and bragging rights!
Registration & Timeline
Registration Opens: August 1, 2025
A sign-up form will be posted in the official MURA Discord. Participants must rank their top 3 preferred categories.
Seeding Period: ~3 Days
After registration closes, organizers will take approximately 3 days to balance the categories. Priority is first-come, first-served.
Lineup Announcement
The final participant list for each category will be announced in Discord once seeding is complete.
